F.A.Q.
What is Wordlush?
It’s a personal playground for two people who love to write. It’s a place to have a regular writing practice, and share the results of that practice with each other and whoever happens by.
Because:
- writing is more fun (and “better”) when you are in the flow
- flow requires regular practice
- having a place to come to post and a sense of community and commonality encourages that practice
What is “spew” and why does it come up so much?
The writing here isn’t “polished”. It is “spewed”.
What kind of writing is here?
All kinds. Fiction, non-fiction, blog-style, poetry, or a mish-mash. The output may be ugly and messy or majestically brilliant, but that’s not the point. The point is to write. And to relax and enjoy it.
This is not a place to give or get critiques. This is meant to be joyful, energetic, raw spewing. Not shiny finished work. Just whatever comes out of you. This is a playground. It’s a place to take risks and have fun!
What are the words on the homepage for? [currently broken]
Every day the site will list 7 new words on the homepage. They are used as writing prompts (using each word in your piece). Even visitors can use them. Yes, that means you!
Can I join?
Right now, this site is just for us. You can create your own free blog at www.wordpress.com and do the same thing. Get some friends to join you.
Can I suggest words?
The words come from wordnik and are random.
Why can’t I comment on all the posts?
The author decides. They have whims. And feelings.
